A Day in the Life of Joan with SeeInMe
Anna
When Joan wakes in the morning she is greeted by Anna, a new Memory Care Community staff member who scans Joan’s SeeInMe QR code and completes her morning checklist.
“Joan’s morning checklist lets me know that she doesn’t like her blouse buttoned up too high, she wears a hearing aid, and she needs to drink a glass of water before she takes her medications.”
Hanna
Joan then goes to the cafeteria for breakfast and to participate in an activity with Hannah, the Recreational Therapist. Hannah scans her QR code and remembers that:
“Joan is frustrated by puzzles, so I guide her to the drawing area.”
Alvin
After her activity, Joan takes the Care Community transportation with Alvin who scans her QR code and sees that:
“Joan loves music from Louie Armstrong, so I play a few tunes on our way to see the neurologist.”
Dr. Hathaway
Alvin brings Joan to her appointment and shares her QR code with the front desk so they can prepare Dr. Hathaway to meet with Joan.
“I see that Joan can get overwhelmed easily and I want to make sure we’re able to have a productive appointment. I speak slowly and make sure there are no more than two people in the room with her during our visit to keep her calm and focused.”
Lisa
When Alvin brings Joan back to the Community, her daughter is waiting to greet her. Seeing Lisa brightens Joan’s demeanor. Before she leaves, Lisa updates Joan’s SeeInMe profile:
“Joan’s birthday is in two days, and while the Community might want to celebrate it, please do not include how old she will be. Saying Joan is 83 confuses her.”
Thomas
